Dry, Chapped Hands? Suki to the Rescue!

In the winter, my hands get dry and almost sore.  I make jewelry and with the high strength adhesive I use, along with various art supplies, I am frequently washing my hands and scrubbing them clean.

I also have two little boys who tend to bring germs with them from school when they get home, so I am always washing my hands.  Maybe too much...

Add in the super dry air from having the heat running all of the time and you've created the perfect recipe for chapped skin.  I'd like to show you my own close up photos of my hands before and after using one of my favorite  natural skin care products from Nature's Basin.

Here is what my hands look like after scrubbing them clean after an art project.  They are crepey and look older than they should:

They are dry, rough, and just were feeling the winter blahs!

Now I would like to show you what they look like after applying Suki Organic Butter Cream Healing Salve just one time:

Here are the ingredients in this fabulous product available right at Nature's Basin:

organic grapeseed (vitis vinifera), evening primrose (oenothera biennis), rosehip seed (rosa canina), sunflower (helianthus annus) & apricot kernel (prunus armeniaca) oils, 100% natural beeswax (cera alba), organic fair trade cocoa butter (theobroma cacao), organic fair trade coconut oil (cocos nucifera), organic rice oil (oryza sativa), organic fair trade shea butter (butyrospermum parkii), 100% natural non-gmo vitamin e (tocopherol), organic arnica (arnica montana), calendula (calendula officinalis), chamomile (anthemis nobilis), lavender (lavandula angustifolia) & comfrey (symphtutum officinale) extracts, aroma (pure premium steam distilled essential oil)

Again, this is a picture after just one use of the Suki product.  I'd like to talk about the main ingredients and tell you why this salve works.

Grapeseed Oil--This is very lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. It contains antioxidants and has high amounts of linoleic acid. Rich in fatty acids, this oil nourishes skin cells.

Evening Primrose Oil--is high in Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA), which is part of the Omega 6 fatty acid family.  This rich oil is beneficial when it comes to treating parched skin, aging skin, skin with issues such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, and rosacea, and itchy, scaly skin.

Rosehip Seed Oil--is very high in Vitamin A and it aids in cell regeneration. It also helps to make skin radiant in appearance.

Sunflower Oil--is chock full of vitamins A, C, D, and E. It is highly protective. It has also been shown to fight bacteria, which makes this a wonderful oil for all skin types.

Apricot Kernel Oil--is very high in Vitamins A & E and it can easily penetrate the skin.  It helps with anti-aging and is the perfect oil when it comes to skin softening.

Beeswax--this locks in moisture and helps to create a long-lasting protective barrier for the skin. It is also skin softening and contains skin-treating Vitamin A.

The Suki Organic Butter Cream Healing Salve is a multipurpose product.  You literally need a teeny tiny amount--the size of a pea. Rub it between your fingers to soften and apply to areas that really need it such as elbows, feet, and hands. I like to rub this into my cuticles at night as well.

I also have to say that the smell is so comforting.  It is a very light, naturally soothing scent with the chamomile and lavender.

Find it today at Nature's Basin.
